Ubiquiti Enterprise Audio/Video XG 24 PoE - AV Switch with 24 10GbE PoE+++ ports and 4 100G QSFP28 ports
Ubiquiti Enterprise Audio/Video XG 24 PoE (EAV-XG-24-PoE) is a Layer 3 switch designed for professional systems Audiovisual (Pro AV). The device is equipped with 24 10 GbE ports, each supporting the PoE+++ standard with a power output of up to 90 W. This allows for simultaneous powering of devices such as displays or advanced PTZ cameras. Additionally, the switch has four 100G QSFP28 fiber optic ports, dedicated to extreme bandwidth uplinks. The device also features a management console port, a dedicated 1 GbE OOB (Out-of-Band) management port, and a 1.3-inch LCM touchscreen.
The model supports the Precision Time Protocol (PTPv2) standard with a built-in precision OCXO clock and the ability to connect an external GPS signal (via an SMA connector) for operation in Grandmaster (GM) mode. The switch comes with pre-configured profiles for Pro AV protocols (including SDVoE, Dante, AES67, and NDI), significantly reducing deployment time and optimizing the network for ultra-low latency. The kit includes two hot-swappable 1200W power supplies (supporting shared and redundant modes) and four removable fan modules. The ports support the Etherlighting™ lighting system, and the switch itself is mounted in standard 4-post rack cabinets (to ensure proper balance).
Note: EAV-XG-24-PoE is the new name for the EAV-24-PoE device – no hardware changes have been made.

Ubiquti Enterprise Audio/Video XG 24 PoE - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Precision Time Protocol (PTP) is a network standard used to synchronize device clocks with very high accuracy, which is crucial in professional audio-video (AV) applications requiring precise timing.
Enterprise Audio/Video Switch The XG 24 PoE supports three PTP clock modes:
- Grandmaster (GM): Acts as the main time source for the entire network, synchronizing with a GPS reference clock connected to the SMA port.
- Boundary Clock (BC): Receives the time signal from the Grandmaster and forwards it to downstream devices.
- Transparent Clock (TC): Forwards PTP messages, correcting for the time it took the packet to traverse the switch.
The Enterprise Audio/Video XG 24 PoE supports a wide range of AV protocols, including SMPTE ST 2110, SDVoE, Dante, AES67, and others.
It also supports Precision Time Protocol (PTP), IGMP snooping, Quality of Service (QoS), and has built-in Pro AV profiles that help optimize low-latency AV networks on 10GbE ports.
The SMA port on the XG 24 PoE Enterprise Audio/Video switch is used in Grandmaster (GM) clock mode to synchronize the device with an external time source (GPS antenna/clock).
The OOB management port provides dedicated access to the device, completely isolated from the main data traffic. This allows administrators to manage the switch using SSH even when access over a standard network is not possible.
No. The Enterprise Audio/Video XG 24 PoE Switch must be provisioned using standard RJ45 or QSFP28 ports.
The console port provides direct access to the command-line interface (CLI) for system diagnostics and recovery. This allows administrators to access the device even when LAN/IP management is completely unavailable.
