Ubiquiti G4 Instant (UVC-G4-INS) is a compact, wireless IP camera that, despite its miniature size (less than 8.2 cm high), offers high-quality image in 2K resolution (4MP, 2688 x 1512 pixels at 30 fps). The camera uses a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and a bright (f/1.6) lens with a fixed focal length. The wide viewing angle (over 102° horizontal) allows for easy coverage of an entire room or entrance, while the built-in infrared illuminator with a mechanical IR cut filter provides clear, black-and-white viewing in the dark at a distance of up to 6 meters.

The camera communicates with the network via dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), while the built-in Bluetooth module is used for device detection and pairing via the UniFi Protect mobile app. The G4 Instant is equipped with image analytics – the system can automatically recognize people, vehicles, and animals. It also features a two-way audio system (integrated microphone and speaker), allowing for real-time communication with people near the lens.

The device is powered via a USB-C port (5V/2A). The kit includes a dedicated power supply (with a European plug) and a 2-meter flexible cable. The camera can also be powered and transmitted directly via a standard network cable from a PoE switch, but this requires the purchase of an optional adapter (PoE to USB-C Adapter). The polycarbonate housing is IPX5 rated and IK04 impact resistant. Thanks to this, in combination with the included wall mount, the camera can be safely installed not only in homes and offices, but also in sheltered outdoor locations (e.g., under a roof on a terrace).
