Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 – Compact WiFi 7 Gateway

Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 is an advanced Cloud Gateway featuring a built-in WiFi 7 access point and an integrated network controller (UniFi Network). The device supports tri-band wireless transmission: 6 GHz (throughput up to 5.7 Gbps), 5 GHz (up to 4.3 Gbps), and 2.4 GHz (up to 688 Mbps), delivering wireless coverage of approximately 160 m² (1,750 ft²) and stable support for over 300 concurrent clients. Wired connectivity is provided by two interfaces: a 10 GbE RJ45 WAN port and a 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port. The internal hardware enables seamless management of the entire network alongside 30+ additional UniFi ecosystem devices.

The gateway delivers robust network security thanks to an integrated stateful firewall, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), ad blocking, and an Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDS/IPS) operating at 2.3 Gbps throughput. The UniFi Network application provides support for Virtual LANs (VLANs), advanced routing, and popular VPN protocols, including WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, and Site Magic SD-WAN.

The unit is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor (1.5 GHz) paired with 3 GB of RAM. The hardware is housed in a compact polycarbonate desktop enclosure measuring 117 x 117 x 42.5 mm and weighing 443 g. The front panel features a 0.96-inch LCM display showing real-time operational status. Power is supplied via USB-C (maximum power consumption is 22 W; power adapter included). To streamline network expansion and mesh deployments, the product is offered as a single device (1-pack), as well as in multi-packs containing two devices (2-pack) or three devices (3-pack).
