Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus 24S – L3 Managed Switch 8x 2.5GbE, 16x 10GbE
Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus 24S (ECS-24S) is a Layer 3 switch engineered for high-throughput enterprise campus networks. The device delivers a total switching capacity of 460 Gbps, non-blocking throughput of 230 Gbps, and a packet forwarding rate of up to 342 Mpps. The switch is equipped with 8x 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports, 16x 10 GbE RJ45 ports, and 4x 25G SFP28 fiber slots. It also features 2x 100G QSFP28 ports dedicated exclusively to hardware switch stacking. For out-of-band diagnostics and device configuration isolated from the primary data network, a dedicated OOB (Out-of-Band) port and console port are provided. The unit also supports the Etherlighting™ visual port identification system.
The switch provides advanced routing capabilities, including local DHCP server and relay, static routing, and Inter-VLAN routing. It features integrated Layer 2 security and traffic control tools, such as 802.1X authentication, MAC- and IP-based access control lists (ACLs), IGMP Snooping, STP/RSTP protocols, and QoS traffic prioritization. Stacking technology enables linking up to four units (compatible exclusively with ECS-24S) into a single logical device. This approach simplifies management and, through Cross-Stack LAG support, allows the creation of redundant, fault-tolerant links to aggregation switches. Continuous operation is guaranteed by dual 550W AC/DC power supplies and a 4-fan cooling system (all components are hot-swappable).
The chassis is constructed from SGCC steel. Due to its full depth and weight of 9.7 kg, the 19" 1U rackmount chassis requires installation in four-post racks with post depths ranging from 650 to 1000 mm; for two-post racks, the use of a shelf is recommended to distribute weight evenly. The front panel incorporates a 1.3-inch LCM touchscreen display. Additionally, the device supports the Etherlighting™ visual port identification system.
Note: Management of this device requires UniFi Network (version 10.6.101 or later) running on, for example, the .

Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus 24S – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Stacking allows multiple physical switches to operate as a single logical unit, greatly simplifying management and provisioning. It also reduces the required number of uplink connections—for example, instead of running individual uplinks from each switch, uplinks can be aggregated from just two units in the stack. This minimizes cabling requirements and streamlines network design.
Connecting stacked switches via Cross-Stack LAG port aggregation to an upstream pair of switches running MC-LAG creates a fully redundant, load-balanced topology without requiring complex point-to-point cabling.
No. Dedicated stacking ports can only be utilized once the switch has been assigned to a Stacking Group.
A single stack supports up to four units. The Enterprise Campus 24S (PoE) cannot be stacked with the Enterprise Campus 48S (PoE).
Allowed stacking configurations within the same model family:
- Enterprise Campus 24S PoE with Enterprise Campus 24S
- Enterprise Campus 48S PoE with Enterprise Campus 48S
The OOB management port provides dedicated management access completely isolated from standard production network traffic. This allows administrators to connect via SSH even when standard in-band network access is down or misconfigured.
No. The Enterprise Campus 24S switch must be adopted and provisioned exclusively via standard RJ45 or optical SFP28 ports.
The console port provides direct serial access to the command-line interface (CLI) for system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and recovery operations. It allows comprehensive switch management even in the complete absence of IP network connectivity.
