The Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 is a network gateway with WiFi 7. The device has a 10G SFP+ port and four 2.5GbE RJ45 ports (including one PoE output). Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 (UDR7) is a compact desktop Cloud Gateway featuring an integrated WiFi 7 access point. The device provides full support for the UniFi application suite (Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect). The unit is capable of managing over 30 UniFi devices, supporting over 300 concurrently connected client devices, and recording video footage (up to 5 HD cameras, 2 2K cameras, or 1 4K camera).
The device delivers IDS/IPS throughput of up to 2.3 Gbps. The router includes an extensive suite of security features, such as an Application-Aware Layer 7 Firewall, ad blocking, traffic segmentation (VLANs), and a wide array of VPN protocols (Site-to-Site, Teleport, WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP). It supports up to 4 WAN ports with Multi-WAN Load Balancing. Additionally, the router provides a total of four 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports—one of which delivers power to external devices (PoE output with a max budget of 15.4W)—and one 10G SFP+ port.
The wireless module operates on the 802.11be (WiFi 7) standard and provides tri-band transmission using 2x2 MU-MIMO technology. Maximum throughput reaches 5.7 Gbps on the 6 GHz band, 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band, and 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, providing estimated coverage of up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²). Smooth system performance is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 3 GB of RAM. To store UniFi Protect footage, the router comes with a pre-installed 64 GB microSD card, and storage capacity can be expanded by replacing the card with a larger one. Real-time operating status is displayed on the integrated 0.96-inch LCM screen.
