Ubiquiti G6 Edge Dome (UVC-G6-Edge-Dome) is an outdoor, vandal-proof IP camera recording in 4K resolution (8MP). The device is equipped with a 1/1.2" CMOS sensor and a varifocal lens providing over 2x optical zoom. An integrated MicroSD card slot and built-in processor enable standalone operation. In this configuration, the camera connects directly to the UniFi Site Manager platform, archiving recordings locally without requiring an external NVR recorder, while simultaneous recording on both the card and the NVR is also supported for data redundancy.
Image analysis is handled by a dual-core processor based on the Arm Cortex-A76 architecture. This system performs artificial intelligence tasks, including face recognition, license plate identification, and smart object detection (people, vehicles, animals). Nighttime visibility is guaranteed by an integrated, adaptive infrared (IR) illuminator with a maximum range of up to 40 meters and a mechanical IR cut filter. Data transmission and power are supplied via a 1GbE RJ45 port using the PoE+ standard (supported voltage range 42.5–57V DC).
The enclosure is made of aluminum alloy and polycarbonate, mounted on a steel base. The device features IP66 dust and water resistance and the highest IK10 impact protection rating. The module is additionally equipped with a microphone and a Bluetooth interface to facilitate the installation setup process.

Opening the G6 Edge Dome camera during installation or maintenance can allow moisture into the housing. To absorb moisture, insert desiccant packets before resealing the housing, ensuring optical clarity and stable operation.
The built-in heater in the G6 Edge Dome camera (similar to other UniFi Protect series cameras) removes moisture during initial setup out of the box. This helps prevent condensation inside the device, ensuring clear images and reliability.
The heater turns on automatically for the first six hours of operation, which may cause the metal housing to warm up — this is completely normal and expected by the manufacturer.
