Ubiquiti G6 180 – 16 MP Panoramic IP Camera with Dual Sensor
Ubiquiti G6 180 (UVC-G6-180-W) is an advanced IP surveillance camera designed for monitoring large indoor and outdoor areas. The device features an optical system utilizing two independent 1/1.8" sensors with a resolution of 8 MP each. The cooperation of these sensors allows for hardware generation of an image with a total resolution of 16 MP (7680 x 2160 px at 20 frames per second) and achieves a seamless, panoramic horizontal field of view of 180°. Thanks to precise calibration and the possibility of software offset correction, the camera minimizes image distortion along the stitching line. The device natively integrates with the UniFi Protect ecosystem, allowing it to replace several classic fixed-focal cameras, which directly simplifies infrastructure management.
The camera is driven by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor that supports Multi-TOPS AI. This enables the execution of edge image analytics, including object detection (people, vehicles, animals) as well as facial recognition and license plate identification. Communication and power are delivered via a single Fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mb/s) using PoE+ power.
The enclosure design features an IP66 rating (weatherproofness) and IK04 rating (mechanical impact resistance). The camera is additionally equipped with a heating module that activates automatically during the first startup. Its purpose is to evaporate any manufacturing moisture and prevent water vapor condensation inside the optics during later operation. The device comes in a white enclosure (a version in black color is also available).

Ubiquiti G6 180 - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The G6 180 utilizes two 1/1.8" 8 MP sensors that work together to achieve a true 180° panoramic view. This ensures wide, seamless coverage of the area with significantly more detail than traditional single-lens designs.
The G6 180 camera uses a calibrated stitching distance to align the image from both 8-megapixel sensors, ensuring that objects crossing the central stitch line are displayed without distortion. To further adjust the image stitching process to a specific distance, you can change the Lens Fusion Offset parameter in the camera settings.
The optimal mounting height is approximately 3–4 meters. Mounting the Ubiquiti G6 180 at this level on a wall or other elevated surface provides balanced outdoor visibility and maintains a clean, unobstructed 180° field of view.
The Ubiquiti G6 180 is an ideal choice when wide, continuous monitoring is needed for areas such as driveways, open yards, building facades, or large squares, where a single panoramic camera can successfully replace multiple traditional devices.
The G6 180 supports ceiling, wall, and pole mounting. The package includes a wedge mount for additional articulated adjustment and a pan adapter for angle adjustment during ceiling installation.
The built-in heater in the G6 180 camera, similar to other UniFi Protect cameras, removes moisture during the initial out-of-the-box configuration. This helps prevent water vapor condensation inside the device, ensuring clear image quality and reliable operation.
The heater starts automatically for the first six hours of operation. During this period, the metal enclosure may feel warm to the touch – this is a typical phenomenon resulting from the design of the device itself.
If water vapor is still visible under the lens dome after the initial six-hour heating cycle, you should manually power cycle the device. This will restart the heater for another six hours, helping to completely remove any remaining moisture.
