Ubiquiti G6 180 (UVC-G6-180-B) is an advanced IP surveillance camera designed for large-area surveillance, both indoors and outdoors. The device is equipped with an optical system using two independent 1/1.8" sensors with a resolution of 8 MP each. These sensors work together to generate images with a combined resolution of 16 MP (7680 x 2160 px at 20 frames per second) and achieve a seamless, panoramic field of view with a 180° horizontal angle. Thanks to precise calibration and software-based offset correction, the camera minimizes image distortion at the frame stitching line. The device natively integrates with the UniFi Protect ecosystem, allowing it to replace several traditional fixed-focus cameras, simplifying infrastructure management.
The camera is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor that supports Multi-TOPS AI. This enables image analytics, including object detection (people, vehicles, animals), facial recognition, and license plate identification. Communication and power are provided via a single Fast Ethernet port. (10/100 Mb/s) using PoE+ power supply.
The housing is IP66 rated (weatherproof) and IK04 rated (mechanical damage resistant). The camera is also equipped with a heating module that activates automatically during initial startup. This module evaporates any moisture from production and prevents condensation inside the optics during subsequent use. The device has a black housing (a white version is also available).

The G6 180 uses a calibrated stitching distance to align the images from both 8-megapixel sensors, ensuring that objects crossing the central stitching line are displayed without distortion. To further customize the image fusion process for a specific distance, you can change the Lens Fusion Offset parameter in the camera settings.
The optimal mounting height is approximately 3-4 meters. Mounting the Ubiquiti G6 180 camera at this level on a wall or other elevated surface provides balanced outdoor visibility and allows you to maintain a clear, unobstructed 180° field of view.
The Ubiquiti G6 180 is the perfect choice for wide, continuous monitoring of areas such as driveways, open courtyards, building facades, or large squares, where a single panoramic camera can successfully replace several traditional devices.
The G6 180 supports ceiling, wall, and A wedge mount for additional articulation and a pan adapter for angle adjustment when ceiling mounting are included.
The built-in heater in the G6 180, like in other UniFi Protect cameras, removes moisture during the initial setup out of the box. This helps prevent condensation inside the device, ensuring clear image quality and reliable operation.
The heater automatically turns on when the first six hours of operation. During this period, the metal casing may feel warm to the touch – this is normal and is due to the device's design.
If water vapor is still visible under the lens dome after the initial six-hour heating cycle, manually restart the device (power cycle). This will turn the heater back on for another six hours, helping to completely remove any remaining moisture.
