Ubiquiti PoE Over 2-Wire Retrofit Extender (UACC-Retrofit-PoE-2Wire) is a transmitter and receiver set designed to carry Ethernet data and PoE power over existing two-wire or coaxial cables. The solution is primarily intended for upgrading older installations where running a new Ethernet cable would be difficult or impossible. The included adapters with BNC connectors are used for coaxial connections.
The transmitter has a PoE++ input of 50 V DC / 1,2 A and a two-wire (2-wire) output, while the receiver converts the two-wire connection to Ethernet and provides a PoE+ output of 48 V DC / 0,6 A. The network interface supports 10/100 MbE and HomePlug AV, and maximum link throughput is 85 Mb/s. The devices themselves consume a maximum of 3 W, excluding the PoE output load.
The maximum range depends on the cable used and the required PoE power, as shown in the table below.
