TP-Link Archer C50 is a dual-band wireless router operating on the AC1200 standard. Designed for home use, it supports the Wi-Fi 5 standard, delivering data transfer speeds of up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band (802.11ac) and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band (802.11n). Wireless network efficiency is enhanced by 2x2 MU-MIMO technology, which manages bandwidth more effectively by communicating with multiple client devices simultaneously. Reliable coverage is ensured by four integrated external antennas supported by Beamforming technology, which directs the wireless signal toward connected clients.
The device is powered by a single-core processor. The network interface includes one 10/100 Mbps WAN port and four 10/100 Mbps LAN ports. The Archer C50 offers three operating modes: traditional router (default mode), access point for a wired network, and wireless range extender.
Network security is backed by support for encryption protocols up to WPA3, an SPI firewall, and a dedicated guest network available on both frequency bands. The firmware also provides parental control tools and support for IPTV services. Configuration and management are performed via the dedicated TP-Link Tether app or a standard web browser interface.
