Ciò consente di utilizzare le applicazioni quotidiane meno impegnative, come la posta elettronica e la navigazione sul Web, tramite una connessione a 2,4 GHz mentre si utilizza la banda a 5 GHz per applicazioni più impegnative e sensibili alla latenza come lo streaming video HD o i giochi online
