Wykorzystuje laser DFP klasy 1 pracujący na długości fali 1310 nm oraz odbiornik PIN, co pozwala na realizację stabilnych połączeń światłowodowych Singlemode z użyciem złączy LC/UPC.

Moduł jest zgodny ze standardem IEEE 802.3by (SFP28 MSA) i współpracuje z urządzeniami wyposażonymi w porty SFP28, w tym z przełącznikami i routerami MikroTik.
