MikroTik CLAIRÉ White – Air Quality Sensor (Matter over Thread)

MikroTik CLAIRÉ (IAQM-THC2PV-W) is a white indoor air quality sensor designed to monitor indoor environments. The device measures carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations within a range of 400–2000 ppm using a Sensirion SCD40-D-R2 sensor based on photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS). This measurement helps track indoor air quality and makes it easier to assess when ventilation is needed. It is particularly valuable in bedrooms, offices, conference rooms, and multi-occupant spaces. Additionally, the device monitors PM2.5 and PM10 particulate matter, temperature, humidity, and volatile organic compounds (VOC). Measurement readouts are displayed on an integrated 2-inch color screen featuring automatic backlight brightness adjustment. This makes the sensor ideal as a standalone unit in homes, offices, or workshops, providing real-time air quality metrics and alerting users when air quality deteriorates. In addition to the white version, this model is also available in grey color. A variant without the particulate matter (PM) sensor is also offered in both color options – white and grey.

Beyond operating as an autonomous monitor, the sensor communicates with the local network via Matter over Thread. This enables seamless integration with smart home ecosystems, such as Home Assistant, without requiring data to be sent to external cloud services. The built-in Bluetooth module is used exclusively for initial device commissioning and pairing. Once joined to the local network, sensor metrics can serve as automation triggers – for example, automatically activating air purifiers or ventilation systems when pollutant concentrations rise.

The unit consumes less than 1 W of power. Power is supplied via a USB-C port or a 2-pin 5V DC terminal block (LPS), allowing operation from a standard wall adapter, power bank, or the MikroTik GPOE-USB module.

Note: No additional devices are required for standalone sensor operation. However, local network integration and automation require a compatible Matter over Thread border router or smart home server (such as the MikroTik hAP be³ Media running Home Assistant).
