MikroTik hAP be³ Media MA53UG+HbeH tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with five 2.5GbE ports, USB and microSD. Ideal as a fast home Wi-Fi, media server and smart home hub with Matter, Thread and RouterOS v7.
MikroTik hAP be³ Media – MA53UG+HbeH
MikroTik hAP be³ Media (MA53UG+HbeH) is the first MikroTik router with full triple-band Wi-Fi 7 support. It is designed as an advanced home networking hub, combining a high-performance wireless access point, local media server capabilities, and a flexible platform for home automation.
The hAP be³ Media delivers Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) performance across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. This results in higher throughput, lower latency, improved security, and better spectral efficiency. The wide 6 GHz band provides additional clean spectrum, helping to reduce interference in dense wireless environments.
In practical use, this means smooth operation even with dozens of connected devices – from computers and gaming consoles to VR headsets, NAS systems, and IoT devices. Multiple demanding workloads such as backups, cloud synchronization, and high-resolution media streaming can run simultaneously without contention. All five Ethernet ports operate at 2.5 Gb/s, eliminating wired bottlenecks when using ultra-fast internet connections, NAS servers, or high-performance workstations.
The device offers extensive expansion options, including 1 × USB Type-C port, 2 × USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a microSD card slot. This allows the hAP be³ Media to function as a local media and storage hub for backups, photos, surveillance footage, or a private family cloud. Services such as password managers, document storage, and other self-hosted applications can be run locally, improving privacy and security by avoiding external servers.
The hAP be³ Media is well suited for smart home deployments. Built-in Bluetooth 5.4 and an integrated Thread (802.15.4) radio enable direct support for Matter-over-Thread devices. Combined with full container support in RouterOS v7, users can deploy local, fully customizable smart home solutions that operate independently of cloud services.
At the core of the device is a quad-core Qualcomm IPQ-5322 processor based on a 64-bit ARM architecture, clocked up to 1.5 GHz, paired with 2 GB of DDR4 RAM. This hardware platform provides significantly more performance than typical home routers and is capable of handling advanced tasks such as containerized services, local dashboards, scripting, complex firewall rules, encrypted VPN traffic with hardware IPsec acceleration, and advanced routing protocols including BGP.
RouterOS v7 includes an easy-to-use interface for managing containers, allowing users to deploy additional applications with minimal effort. Network visualization tools, lightweight web services, monitoring dashboards, security utilities, or experimental local AI workloads can all run on a single compact device. As with all MikroTik products, the full feature set is available without subscriptions or licensing fees.
Note: hAP be³ Media operates exclusively on RouterOS v7 and does not support older software versions.
