The Ubiquiti WaveFiber ONU-20 is a 20-pack of high-performance GPON terminals (ONTs) equipped with a 2.5 GbE LAN port. Offering a range of up to 20 km, L2/L3 operating modes, and GEM hardware encryption, the devices provide a cost-effective solution for ISPs (PoE power supplies not included).

Ubiquiti WaveFiber ONU (Wave-Fiber-ONU-20) is a high-performance client terminal (ONU/ONT) operating in the ITU-G.984 GPON standard, designed for building network infrastructure using fiber optic technology. This device is a high-throughput access point for operator services, offering asymmetric transmission speeds of 2.488 Gb/s downstream and 1.244 Gb/s upstream. Thanks to the use of an optical system operating at 1310 nm for transmitting (TX) and 1490 nm for receiving (RX), the terminal enables a stable connection over distances of up to 20 km.
Communication with local devices is achieved via an RJ45 port using the 1/2.5 GbE standard. The 2.5 Gb/s port effectively eliminates bottlenecks at the interface between the WAN interface (SC/APC connector) and the LAN. The terminal supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 operation (as a bridge or a fully functional router), supporting VLAN tagging, NAT, and firewall functions. Additionally, GEM Port Encryption hardware encryption ensures data security and confidentiality in fiber optic networks (PON).
The polycarbonate housing allows for wall or desktop mounting. The device is characterized by very low power consumption, not exceeding 5W at full load. The device is available in a multipack containing 20 units (single packages or containing 5 units are also available). Unlike the individually packaged versions, this kit does not come with power supplies. For proper operation of the terminals, you must provide your own 24V Passive PoE power supply using an external adapter.
