Ubiquiti Remote Control KeyFob (USL-FOB) is a compact wireless remote control designed to trigger pre-programmed actions across the UniFi ecosystem. The device communicates using the proprietary SuperLink protocol (in the Sub-GHz band 865.1–869.5 MHz for Europe).
The remote offers extensive customization options and high operational security. The system supports multiple interaction types: single click, double click, and long press (for 3 seconds), which effectively prevents accidental activation. The device is supplied with two interchangeable front faceplates. The factory pre-installed faceplate is dedicated to alarm system management (featuring Arm, Disarm, Night mode, and Panic buttons). The second faceplate features universal numeric markings (1, 2, 3, 4), making it ideal for programming custom general-purpose functions. Primary capabilities are complemented by two additional side-mounted buttons that can also be freely mapped to specific tasks.
The device is housed in a compact (67 x 35 x 18.5 mm) and lightweight (32 g) enclosure made of durable polycarbonate, rated for operating temperatures from 0 to 40° C. The remote stands out for its exceptional energy efficiency – with an average usage of 10 clicks per day, it can operate for up to 10 years on a single cell (although extreme cold temperatures may slightly shorten this lifespan). Power is provided by an easily replaceable CR2450 coin cell battery (required capacity of 600 mAh and pulse discharge current of 50 mA).
Note: Full operation and configuration of the remote require the SuperLink Gateway and UniFi Protect software version 7.1 or later, accessible via web browser or mobile app.
