Ubiquiti UNAS Pro 8 – 2U Rackmount NAS Server with 10GbE
The Ubiquiti UNAS Pro 8 (UNAS-Pro-8) is a professional storage server (NAS) housed in a 2U rackmount enclosure, designed for installation in 19" server racks. The device features eight drive bays supporting 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs/SSDs. A quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and supported by 16GB of RAM ensures efficient data processing.
The UNAS Pro 8 offers a comprehensive set of interfaces, including two SFP+ ports (10Gb/s) and one Multi-Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port (supporting 10GbE/5GbE/2.5GbE/1GbE/100MbE speeds). The device also has two M.2 NVMe drive slots. SSDs can be used as cache memory, significantly accelerating data write and read operations, eliminating bottlenecks during intensive workloads.
UNAS Pro 8 offers extensive support for network standards, including NFS and SMB protocols. The system allows flexible storage configuration using RAID levels 5, 6, and 10, as well as support for RAID groups and hot spare drives. A key advantage of UNAS Pro 8 is its extensive data security options: from file encryption and Snapshot support to multi-level backups. The device allows for backups to remote UNAS servers, CIFS/SMB resources, and directly to cloud services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, and Wasabi. Time Machine is also fully supported.
The server is equipped with a redundant power supply system consisting of two 550W AC/DC modules. The power supplies are hot-swappable, allowing for replacement without shutting down the system. The enclosure is made of SGCC steel and is NDAA certified.
