Ubiquiti UA-Retrofit-Reader-B (Retrofit Reader)
Ubiquiti UA-Retrofit-Reader-B is an access control reader designed for retrofitting existing door access installations where legacy card readers were previously used. The device works exclusively with UniFi Access Retrofit hubs and allows reuse of existing cabling without the need to install new wiring.
The Retrofit Reader functions as a user identification reader and is used to unlock doors within the UniFi Access system. Once physically connected and powered, it is automatically discovered and paired with the Retrofit Hub in the UniFi Access application. The reader does not operate independently and requires a connection to a compatible UniFi Retrofit Hub.
The device supports user identification via NFC cards and key fobs, as well as mobile access features provided within the UniFi Access ecosystem. Configuration, permission assignment, and user management are handled centrally through the UniFi Access application.
