Ubiquiti airMAX PowerBeam 5AC (PBE-5AC-Gen2) is a point-to-point (PtP) radio bridge operating in the 5 GHz band, equipped with an integrated parabolic dish. The device can also function as a client station (receiver) or a smaller base station in point-to-multipoint (PtMP) deployments. The unit utilizes the airMAX AC protocol, allowing for stable connections with channel widths up to 80 MHz in PtP mode.

Power delivery and data transmission take place over a single Gigabit Ethernet port (1 GbE RJ45) using passive 24V PoE (a 24V 0.5A power supply is included in the set). The device itself consumes a maximum of 8.5W. The feedhorn housing and dish (with a 25 dBi gain) are manufactured from UV-resistant polycarbonate and powder-coated steel (SPCC). The antenna is designed to operate in the harshest weather conditions. It withstands wind loads up to 200 km/h, and its resistance to wind-driven rain, salt fog, thermal shock, and vibration has been confirmed through rigorous testing.

The software offers a wealth of practical features useful for network maintenance, including routing, DHCP server, Traffic Shaping, Ping Watchdog, and advanced connection statistics. In addition to the main 5 GHz radio interface, the PBE-5AC-Gen2 model is equipped with an additional 2.4 GHz radio dedicated exclusively to local wireless configuration of the antenna via a dedicated mobile app. A complete, dedicated pole mount kit is included in the package.
