Ubiquiti Enterprise Firewall Core - Advanced 100 Gbps Network Gateway with 78 Gbps IDS/IPS
Ubiquiti Enterprise Firewall Core (EF-Core) is a high-performance network gateway designed to support extensive network infrastructures in businesses. The device is powered by a 24-core ARM v9 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, 32 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB SSD. This configuration allows for stable service of over 22,500 connected clients and achieving throughput of up to 79 Gbps with IDS/IPS scanning enabled. The device is housed in a robust 1U enclosure (made of CNC aluminum and SGCC steel) that is suitable for mounting in a standard rack.
The device is equipped with a total of 20 ports, including four 100G QSFP28 connectors, four 25G SFP28 slots, eight 10GbE RJ45 ports, and two standard 1GbE RJ45 ports. The administrator can configure up to eight WAN interfaces with Multi-WAN Load Balancing. The gateway supports dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP) and port aggregation (LACP). Continuity of operation in emergency situations is ensured by power supply redundancy (two hot-swap 550W modules) and support for High Availability clusters in Shadow Mode (VRRP), allowing the backup unit to uninterruptibly take over the tasks of the primary router. A dedicated OOB (Out-of-Band) management port and console port are available for service.
EF-Core features an Application-Aware L7 Firewall, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), SSL/TLS traffic filtering, and ad blocking. The gateway enables stable branch office connectivity – it supports up to 5,000 simultaneous IPsec tunnels, as well as WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP protocols, and Site Magic SD-WAN technology. The device works as a standalone console with a built-in UniFi Network system.
