Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Switch Core – L3 Aggregation Switch 32x 100G QSFP28
Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Switch Core (ECS-Core) is an advanced Layer 3 aggregation switch designed for high-throughput enterprise campus and core network deployments. The device delivers a total switching capacity of 6.4 Tbps, non-blocking throughput of 3.2 Tbps, and a packet forwarding rate of up to 2.8 Bpps. The switch is equipped with 32x 100G QSFP28 optical ports. For isolated device diagnostics and configuration without using the primary data network, a dedicated 1 GbE RJ45 Out-of-Band (OOB) port and a console port are provided.
The unit offers extensive routing capabilities, including local DHCP server and relay, static routing, and Inter-VLAN routing. It also supports MC-LAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation) technology, allowing two ECS-Core units to be interconnected into a single logical node. This enables the creation of redundant, load-balanced connections to aggregation devices and servers. Power is supplied by dual 550W AC/DC power supplies, while cooling is handled by a module equipped with five fans. Both the power supplies and the cooling module support hot-swapping, allowing replacement without powering down the switch or interrupting its operation.
Due to its full-depth design and weight of 9.8 kg (including brackets), the 19" 1U rackmount chassis requires installation in four-post racks with depths ranging from 650 to 1000 mm. The front panel features a 1.3-inch LCM touchscreen display for quick monitoring of operating parameters. In addition, the switch supports the Etherlighting™ visual port identification system.
Note: Management of this switch requires UniFi Network (version 10.6.101 or later) running on, for example, the .

Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Switch Core – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) provides redundancy and load balancing by coupling two Enterprise Campus Switch Core units into a dedicated MC-LAG pair. This architecture eliminates single points of failure and increases total aggregate throughput across independent physical links.
By connecting a downstream Stacking group or server simultaneously to both upstream MC-LAG switches and defining Target Devices Memberships, you form a fully redundant aggregated link (LAG) across separate chassis.
The Enterprise Campus Switch Core can form an MC-LAG domain exclusively with another switch from the same Enterprise Campus Switch Core series. Each configured MC-LAG domain supports a maximum of two switches.
The OOB management port provides dedicated administrative access completely isolated from regular production data traffic. This allows administrators to manage the switch via SSH even when in-band network transport is unavailable or disrupted.
No. The Enterprise Campus Switch Core must be adopted and provisioned exclusively via its QSFP28 ports.
The console port delivers direct serial access to the command-line interface (CLI) for low-level system diagnostics, configuration recovery, and hardware troubleshooting. It allows complete administrative control even when all IP-based network connectivity is lost.
