MikroTik KNOT Embedded LTE4 Global (EG25-G&KNe) is a compact, industrial network gateway designed for integrators, automation specialists, and IoT system developers. The "Global" version offers extended support for LTE bands and is PTCRB and AT&T certified, making it ready for deployment in markets outside of EMEA (including North America). The device provides reliable LTE Cat4 cellular connectivity, and thanks to built-in eSIM support and a standard Nano SIM slot, it allows for quick activation of a data plan with your carrier.
The device is a communication hub for IoT devices. The built-in Bluetooth 5.1 scanner supports Long Range and Extended Advertising, enabling reliable communication with MikroTik tags and other BLE sensors. Additionally, the device has a GNSS module (supporting GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BDS, and QZSS) for precise location tracking. Wired communication is handled by a gigabit Ethernet port with PoE-in support, while a dedicated GPIO connector (24V tolerant and offering digital/analog inputs and an OD output) enables direct integration with simple automation and monitoring systems.
KNOT Embedded is ideal for space-constrained environments where reliability is key – such as vending machines, coffee machines, retail kiosks, control cabinets, and smart city infrastructure. Measuring just 90 x 70 x 22 mm, the device is DIN rail-mountable and can operate in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. At the heart of the device is a 32-bit ARM processor (800 MHz) and 256 MB of RAM, running RouterOS v7 (Level 3 license). The device requires external antennas connected via available SMA connectors.
