MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is a high-performance 10Gbps router designed for ISPs. Equipped with 13x 1Gbps Ethernet and 4x SFP+ cages. The router is powered by a 16-core Amazon Annapurna Labs Alpine processor and supports Layer 3 Hardware Offloading.

MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is an extremely powerful router designed for demanding ISPs. The device is designed based on the 16-core Amazon Annapurna Labs Alpine processor clocked at 2 GHz.
The router has 4 SFP+ slots connected by a direct bus to the Marvell Aldrin switch chip. Of the 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports, each group of 4 of them is also connected directly to the controller chip. This avoids the bottleneck that could be the processor. The 13th port is connected directly to the processor (for management purposes).
Thanks to the solutions used, despite having "only" 16 cores, the CCR2116-12G-4S+ is twice as powerful as the CCR1036!
MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is ideal for dynamic routing, large BGP configurations or complex sets of firewall and QoS rules. The router has redundant power.
