Wtyk modularny RJ-45 (8P8C) przeznaczony do zakańczania 4-parowych, ekranowanych przewodów typu skrętka w instalacjach okablowania strukturalnego. Produkt dedykowany jest do przewodów kategorii 6, okrągłych typu drut.

Złącze w standardzie 8P8C (8 pozycji, 8 styków) jest zgodne z kategorią 6 i przeznaczone do pracy w sieciach opartych na okablowaniu miedzianym. Ekranowana konstrukcja umożliwia zachowanie ciągłości ekranowania toru transmisyjnego oraz ogranicza wpływ zakłóceń elektromagnetycznych.
