Ubiquiti Gateway Fiber – 10G Network Gateway with PoE+
Ubiquiti Gateway Fiber (UXG-Fiber) is a network gateway equipped with 10G and 2.5G ports with PoE power output support. Designed for small and medium-sized businesses as well as demanding home networks, it delivers high-speed routing and robust security. The device is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz paired with 2 GB of RAM. This hardware allows it to maintain up to 5 Gbps routing throughput with full Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) active. Security capabilities include a stateful firewall, application-aware Layer 7 firewall, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), zone- and content-based filtering, and ad blocking. The IDS/IPS engine utilizes a database of over 55,000 threat signatures (powered by CyberSecure integration). The gateway supports license-free SD-WAN (Site Magic) alongside VPN protocols (IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, Teleport, L2TP) in both server and client configurations. The software also supports OSPF dynamic routing, advanced NAT rules, QoS, and features an integrated RADIUS server with RadSec support.
The unit features two default WAN ports: one 10G SFP+ slot and one 10 GbE RJ45 port. Up to 6 ports can be assigned as WAN interfaces, supporting Multi-WAN Load Balancing and automated failover (including native UniFi LTE Backup integration). In addition, four 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports and one 10G SFP+ port are available and can be custom-configured as WAN or LAN. One of the 2.5 GbE ports also provides PoE+ output, delivering up to 30 W of power.
The compact polycarbonate desktop enclosure measures 212.8 x 127.6 x 30 mm and weighs 605 g. The gateway is powered by an included external 54V DC / 1.1A power adapter, with a maximum power consumption of 25 W (excluding PoE load). Initial hardware setup is streamlined via built-in Bluetooth, while LED indicators monitor system and network port activity.
Note: An external controller (such as CloudKey, official UniFi Hosting, or a self-hosted UniFi Network server) is required to manage the gateway.
