The UniFi Protect G6 PTZ is a weather-resistant (IP66) pan-tilt-zoom camera featuring a 4K (8 MP) resolution and a dual-lens system that provides 10× hybrid zoom. It incorporates a wide-angle lens for panoramic coverage and a telephoto lens for close-up inspections, allowing simultaneous monitoring of large areas and detailed observation of specific points. Integrated infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 30 meters, and a mechanical IR cut filter (ICR) ensures accurate daytime color reproduction and nighttime monochrome illumination.

The camera is equipped with a motorized PTZ mechanism offering a 350° pan and a 100° tilt. Motor-driven actuators with encoders enable smooth and precise control of the camera’s position. Low-latency PTZ command transmission allows for fast responses and automated object tracking. The device also supports two-way audio with an integrated microphone and speaker for environmental listening and voice communication.

The G6 PTZ uses an advanced AI engine (Multi-TOPS) for on-device image processing. It supports facial and license plate recognition, as well as object classification (people, vehicles, animals) within the field of view. These analytics enable intelligent alerts and automated tracking without the need for external servers, preserving privacy and reducing network load.

The camera's enclosure is made from durable aluminum alloy and polycarbonate, providing IP66 ingress protection and IK04 impact resistance. It operates across a wide temperature range from -30 °C to 50 °C. Mounting options include wall, ceiling, and pole installation using the included mounting arm and pole clamp. Optional accessories allow for corner, recessed ceiling, pendant, and conduit mounting. The camera is powered via PoE+ (802.3at) and features a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port for data and power. A built-in microSD slot enables local video storage, and management is performed via UniFi Protect software installed on a UniFi OS Console or NVR device.
