Ubiquiti 10G CWDM Single-Mode Optical Module (UACC-OM-SFP10-1310) is an SFP+ CWDM optical module operating at a wavelength of 1310 nm, designed for fiber optic connections with data rates of up to 10 Gbps. The transceiver is compatible with SFP+ and SFP interfaces and uses a Duplex LC connector. The module operates with single-mode fiber and supports transmission distances of up to 20km.
CWDM technology enables the transmission of multiple independent data channels using different wavelengths of light over a single optical fiber. CWDM modules operate at specific wavelengths and are connected to a CWDM multiplexer, which combines the individual wavelengths into a single optical fiber. At the other end of the link, a CWDM demultiplexer separates the signal into individual wavelengths, allowing the appropriate modules to receive the data. The module is also available in other variants.
Note: The modules on both sides of a given channel must be matched in terms of wavelength (e.g. 1310 nm on one side and the corresponding pair on the other). The fiber optic cable is not included.
