Ubiquiti U7 Mesh (U7-Mesh) is a compact access point designed for both indoor and outdoor installations. The device operates on the WiFi 7 (802.11be) standard, offering 4 spatial streams. It supports over 200 client devices simultaneously and covers an area of up to 140 m² (1,500 ft²). The access point supports dual-band data transmission: delivering throughput of up to 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band (2x2 MU-MIMO) and up to 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band (2x2 MU-MIMO). Network connectivity and power (via standard PoE) are handled by a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port. Maximum power consumption is 13 W, and a compatible PoE adapter is included in the package.
The device is equipped with a hybrid antenna system comprising an omnidirectional antenna (with 6 dBi gain for 5 GHz and 3 dBi for 2.4 GHz) and a 5 GHz directional antenna with 10 dBi gain. This configuration enables simultaneous coverage for long-distance users as well as clients located close to the device. The U7 Mesh is particularly recommended for open-air deployments and high-demand Mesh networks. In Mesh Child mode, the built-in LED ring (R/G/B/W) changes color to assist with device positioning and finding the strongest signal – green indicates optimal connection parameters. The software (requires UniFi Network controller version 10.1.85 or later) provides features such as fast roaming (802.11r), client isolation, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSK), and RADIUS over TLS (RadSec).
The enclosure, measuring ⌀48.5 x 159.5 mm and weighing 313 g, is made of UV-resistant polycarbonate. When using the included outdoor mount and rubber seal, the unit meets IPX6 ingress protection standards (vertical installation with the logo facing upward is required). For indoor installations, a dedicated desktop stand is used. The device operates in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C. Mounting accessories are included for installation on a wall, pole, or flat surface.

Yes. The U7 Mesh access point supports both indoor and outdoor installation using the interchangeable bottom covers included in the box:
- Indoor installations: Require using the desktop stand designed exclusively for indoor use.
- Outdoor installations: Require applying the rubber gasket and the included wall mount, providing an IPX6 rating. The device must be mounted vertically with the logo facing up.
In Mesh Child mode, the LED ring changes color to assist with optimal placement and finding the strongest mesh link (refer to the included installation card for details). Green indicates the strongest and most stable connection.
The U7 Mesh features both a directional 5 GHz antenna and an omnidirectional antenna, allowing it to efficiently serve long-distance clients and nearby devices simultaneously.
