Ubiquiti U7 Industrial (U7-Industrial) is a WiFi 7 access point designed for large sites and demanding outdoor installations. The device uses 4 spatial streams and an integrated high-gain directional antenna system whose radiation pattern can be adjusted using the included reflectors. This allows the signal to be focused on a selected area, increasing its strength and limiting radiation in unwanted directions, which is particularly useful at industrial sites, in warehouses, car parks, passageways and between buildings. Omnidirectional antennas are also included, allowing U7 Industrial to provide 360° coverage where directional coverage is not required.
The 5 GHz radio operates in a 2 × 2 MU-MIMO configuration and offers a maximum data rate of 4,3 Gb/s with a channel width of 240 MHz. The built-in directional antenna for this band has a gain of 10 dBi and a 95° × 45° radiation pattern, while a reflector provides either a wide-angle configuration of 11 dBi at 70° × 45° or a narrower configuration of 12 dBi at 55° × 45°. The included omnidirectional antennas offer a gain of 6 dBi and 360° × 45° coverage. In the 2,4 GHz band, the maximum speed is 688 Mb/s, and the available antenna configurations provide gains ranging from 5 dBi for omnidirectional antennas to 10 dBi with the narrow-beam reflector.
The access point supports more than 200 clients and provides coverage of up to 465 m². A 2.5 GbE RJ45 port provides the wired connection and also supplies PoE power. Maximum power consumption is 13 W, and the supported voltage range is 42,5–57 V DC. Wireless features include meshing, Band Steering, 802.11k/v/r, advanced radio management, dynamic VLAN assignment via RADIUS and RadSec.
The enclosure is made of UV-resistant polycarbonate and aluminium alloy. Its IP67 rating protects the device against dust and water, while an operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C allows use in installations exposed to extreme weather conditions. U7 Industrial can be mounted on a wall or a pole with a diameter of 25 to 63,5 mm, and the appropriate brackets are included.
Note: The device requires UniFi Network 11 RC and Access Point firmware version 8.8.12 or later.
