Ubiquiti UniFi Indoor Cable Cat6 CMP (U-Cable-C6-CMP) is a Cat.6 Ethernet cable designed for use in spaces requiring cabling with the highest flame-resistance rating (plenum CMP). The CMP designation means that the cable is suitable for routing through ventilation and air-conditioning spaces, such as above suspended ceilings or inside air ducts. Compared with standard installation cable, CMP construction must meet more stringent requirements for limiting flame propagation and smoke generation, which is particularly important in areas where a ventilation system could rapidly distribute smoke throughout a building. It features a flame-retardant jacket compliant with NFPA 262 and an internal separator that reduces crosstalk between wire pairs, helping maintain proper transmission performance in installations with high cable density.
The cable features a UTP construction and uses four twisted pairs of 23 AWG copper conductors. The individual pairs are identified using the standard color code, and the cable also includes an internal ripcord to facilitate removal of the outer jacket during installation.
The white outer jacket is made of flame-retardant PVC (FRPVC) and has a diameter of 5,6 ± 0,2 mm. The minimum bend radius is 22,4 mm. The cable is supplied in a 305 m length, and the total package weight is 14,7 kg. The cable meets the transmission requirements of ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, ISO/IEC 11801 Edition 2.2, and IEC 61156-5 Edition 2.1. Its construction also complies with UL 444, CSA 22.2 No. 214, as well as the RoHS2 and LVD directives. The installation temperature range is from 0 to 60°C, the operating temperature range is from -20 to 60°C, and the storage temperature range is from -20 to 75°C.
