Ubiquiti airFiber 5XHD (AF-5XHD) is an outdoor radio module designed for building point-to-point (PtP) wireless bridges, specifically for WISP infrastructure. The device operates in the 5 GHz band (4800 to 6200 MHz range) and allows for the establishment of links with throughputs exceeding 1 Gbps over distances exceeding 100 km (depending on the environment). The radio link supports channel widths from 10 to 100 MHz, supports AES-256 hardware encryption, and has an external GPS antenna with a magnetic base.
The 0.4 kg design is designed for operation in extreme environmental conditions. With the included sealing kit, the housing meets the IP67 rating. The device is equipped with two 1GbE ports. Power is provided via passive PoE in the range of 18 to 54V DC (a 24V 1A power supply is included), and the maximum power consumption is 12W. The module plugs into antenna sockets compatible with airFiber X series dishes (Rocket mounting standard).
