TP-Link Tapo T110 is a miniature, magnetic door and window sensor (reed switch) designed to monitor the opening status of doors, windows, cabinets, and drawers in Smart Home systems. The set consists of two elements – the sensor itself, equipped with electronics, and a magnet. Their separation from each other causes the circuit to open, which the system immediately interprets as an opening. The design allows for trouble-free operation even when the mounting gap between the two elements is up to 15 mm. This gives the user great flexibility when mounting on non-standard, thick, or slightly uneven window and door frames.

The device does not connect directly to the home router via Wi-Fi. A Tapo Hub (sold separately) is absolutely necessary for its operation. Communication takes place in the energy-efficient Sub-GHz band (868 MHz), which relieves the load on the main 2.4 GHz network and ensures a wide range. Thanks to this solution, the sensor is powered by a single, classic CR2032 coin cell battery, which lasts for over a year of continuous operation (assuming approximately 60 openings per day). The system will notify you of impending battery discharge with an alert in the Tapo app.

Tapo T110 is a highly versatile home automation trigger (Smart Actions). A change in the sensor's status can, for example, automatically turn on the hallway light immediately after the front door is opened. Besides standard window monitoring, the sensors can be used in other everyday situations – by attaching them to the refrigerator door (to ensure it's not wide open), a mailbox, or a pet flap, allowing you to constantly monitor their activity in the app. The device can also be used in an alarm system. When "Away" mode is activated, unauthorized door opening will instantly activate the siren built into the Tapo Hub and send a push notification to the user's smartphone.

The module is completely non-invasive – no tools are required, using only the factory-applied 3M double-sided tape. Its small dimensions (61.4 x 37.5 x 12.3 mm) allow the device to be discreetly hidden on furniture doors, medicine drawers, or refrigerator doors.
