TP-Link MC420L 10G Media Converter
The TP-Link MC420L is a 10G media converter designed to convert optical 10GBASE-SR/LR/LRM signals to 10GBASE-T copper connections and vice versa. Integrated with an SFP+ module, it extends the reach of existing 10G networks over fiber, supporting both multimode and single-mode deployments depending on the inserted SFP module. The converter complies with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/LR, IEEE 802.3aq 10GBASE-LRM, and IEEE 802.3an 10GBASE-T standards. It features one SFP+ slot for fiber modules and one 1G/2.5G/5G/10G RJ45 copper port with Auto MDI/MDI-X support. LED indicators on the front panel provide real-time device status. The MC420L can function as a standalone device or be installed in a TP-Link chassis system. The maximum transmission distance depends on the SFP+ module used.
