Płyta embedded Alix.1D miniTX jest najnowszym produktem firmy PC Engines. Urządzenie jest następcą płyt embedded z serii WRAP 1.x/2.x. W odróżnieniu od swoich poprzedników płyta została wyposażona w dużo szybszy/wydajniejszy procesor AMD Geode taktowany z szybkością 500 MHz.

256 MB pamięci SDRAM umożliwia współpracę urządzenia z takimi systemami jak np. Linux (Debian,Ubuntu itp.), Windows (2000,XP). Alix.1D miniTX jest w pełni kompatybilny z systemem MikroTik co umożliwia zastosowanie płyty jako wydajna stacja bazowa.

Alix.1D miniTX jest idealnym rozwiązaniem w miejscach gdzie zastosowanie standardowych płyt ATX jest nie możliwe ze względu na rozmiary lub sposób zasilania (samochody, małe pomieszczenia gospodarcze itd.). Ze względu na brak elementów mechanicznych (wiatraki,wentylatory itp.) urządzenie jest niezwykle ciche co znacznie podwyższa komfort pracy.

Urządzenie zostało bogato wyposażone w szereg wejść/wyjść umożliwiających współpracę płyty z różnymi urządzeniami peryferyjnymi.
