Product Description
The MikroTik wAP LR8 kit is a compact outdoor LoRaWAN gateway delivered as a ready-to-use IoT solution. This device combines a LoRaWAN concentrator (with a pre-installed UDP packet forwarder) and a 2.4 GHz wireless access point with an Ethernet port, which serves as the network uplink.
As a result, the wAP LR8 kit can forward sensor data to any public (e.g., The Things Network) or private LoRaWAN server right out of the box. Its small wAP-series enclosure is weatherproof (IP54 rated), allowing for outdoor installation and stable operation in virtually any weather conditions.
The wAP LR8 kit uses an updated 868 MHz LoRa radio module with enhanced receiver sensitivity, resulting in extended range and improved link reliability even in challenging environments. It supports the 863–870 MHz ISM band (as used in Europe, Russia, India, etc.) and can handle 8 simultaneous LoRaWAN channels.
