The MikroTik HS-31DLC20D is a reliable SFP module designed for long-distance fiber optic connections. It was designed for single-mode fiber optics, enabling stable data transmission over distances up to 20 kilometers. The module is an improved successor to the S-31DLC20D model, offering a significant leap in performance – supporting speeds of 2.5 Gbps (while maintaining downward compatibility with 1 Gbps).
The module uses the widely used 1310 nm wavelength for full-duplex transmission via a standard Duplex LC connector. It is an excellent choice for backbone networks, large campus installations, and Internet Service Provider (ISP) infrastructures where reliability over long distances is essential. An additional advantage is the built-in digital diagnostics function (DDM), which constantly monitors module parameters (including optical power, temperature, voltage, and laser current), enabling proactive network management and failure prevention.
