MikroTik SXTsq Embedded LTE4 Global (EG25-G&SXTsq) is a cost-effective router designed for outdoor installation, equipped with an integrated 2x2 MIMO directional antenna with 9 dBi gain. The "Global" version features expanded LTE band support that extends beyond the standard European (EMEA) market, optimized specifically for deployments in North America and international projects. The device's readiness for the US market is confirmed by official PTCRB and CTIA IoT Network certifications, as well as full compatibility with major carrier networks—AT&T and T-Mobile. This makes it a reliable solution for establishing connectivity in rural areas, summer houses, or construction sites where traditional broadband internet is unavailable. The entire unit is enclosed in a compact IP67-rated weatherproof housing, ensuring stable operation even in harsh weather conditions.
A major advantage of this model is full support for eSIM technology, enabling remote activation of data plans without handling physical SIM cards. The device offers native support for pre-activated MikroTik Connectivity plans as well as eSIM profiles from third-party mobile operators. The system allows users to conveniently add, store, and switch between multiple eSIM profiles on a single device. For added flexibility, the manufacturer also included a traditional Nano SIM slot. The device is powered by a 32-bit ARM Cortex-A7 processor (clocked up to 1.2 GHz) supported by 256 MB of DDR RAM and 256 MB of internal NAND flash storage.
The router runs RouterOS v7 with a Level 3 license, providing administrators with advanced routing, firewall support, and VPN capabilities, as well as advanced remote management, traffic monitoring and control, and full support for automation and scripting. Data transfer is handled by an integrated Category 4 LTE modem (EG25-G), delivering download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Connectivity and power are provided via a single Gigabit Ethernet port supporting PoE-in within the 12–28V range. A key benefit of this design is its exceptionally low power consumption, reaching a maximum of just 5 W.
