MikroTik APA-1 is a power supply device that also protects against overvoltages. The essential safety element is the built-in gasdischarge tube. In the event of voltage surges, the gasdischarge tube discharges the potential, protecting the powered device. Such situations occur when powered by the vehicle's electrical system. Another layer of protection is TVS - transient voltage suppressor semiconductor.
Additionally, the device is protected against reverse polarity of the connection, and built-in low-pass filters eliminate voltage peaks generated by the vehicle installation.
APA-1 is equipped with a built-in voltage modificator (configurable with jumpers) and has the option of power supply in pass-through mode when voltage adjustment is not required.
The device can operate independently or when weather resistance is needed in a compatible housing .
