Wtyk modularny RJ-45 (8P8C) przeznaczony do zakańczania ekranowanych przewodów typu skrętka w instalacjach okablowania strukturalnego. Produkt dedykowany jest do przewodów kategorii 5e, okrągłych typu drut.

Złącze w standardzie 8P8C (8 pozycji, 8 styków) jest zgodne z kategorią 5e i przeznaczone do pracy w sieciach opartych na okablowaniu miedzianym. Ekranowana konstrukcja ogranicza wpływ zakłóceń elektromagnetycznych na połączenie.

Poszczególne styki wykonane z fosforobrązu, platerowane złotem, posiadają ostre, lekko rozstawione zęby, które wbijają się bezpośrednio w izolację żył przewodu podczas zaciskania.
