TP-Link Tapo C460 KIT is a solar-powered wireless IP camera designed for outdoor surveillance applications requiring high image detail. The device records video in 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160 px) resolution at 15 frames per second. The 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with Starlight technology and a bright lens (F1.65) with a 134° diagonal field of view allow you to capture clear details, such as facial features or license plates. In night conditions, the device can operate in classic infrared mode (up to 15 meters) or record full color images using two integrated LED illuminators.

Power is provided by a high-capacity 10,000 mAh battery, which is continuously charged by the included solar panel Tapo A201 (2.5 W output, USB-C port). One of the improvements over lower-end models (e.g. C400, Tapo C425) has a built-in dual-band Wi-Fi module. The camera can connect to the router on both the 2.4 GHz band (longer range) and the 5 GHz band (higher throughput), allowing for smooth 4K video streaming. The device also features an energy-saving 24/7 continuous monitoring mode – when there is no movement, the camera operates in time-lapse mode (e.g., taking a photo every second), and immediately returns to recording smooth video upon detecting an object.

The device is activated by a PIR sensor (120° detection angle), which works with artificial intelligence algorithms. The system can classify objects for free, distinguishing between people, vehicles, and animals, allowing for precise notification settings. Data is saved on a local microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB (not included), and the card itself can be additionally encrypted within the app. Recordings can also be stored in the Tapo Care cloud (paid subscription required). The device is mounted on a practical magnetic base and has an IP66 rating, guaranteeing full weather resistance in a temperature range of -20°C to 45°C. The security system is complemented by two-way audio, a built-in 100 dBA siren, and an anti-tamper alarm.
