Ubiquiti Network Video Recorder G2 Pro (UNVR-G2-Pro) is a 2U rack-mounted network video recorder with built-in Edge AI Analytics. This technology uses artificial intelligence to process data locally from compatible UniFi Protect cameras, enabling faster searching and playback of recordings without the need to upload footage to the cloud. Edge processing enhances data privacy, reduces analysis time, and minimizes network traffic. The device provides centralized management of your security infrastructure by combining UniFi Protect, UniFi Access, and UniFi Connect applications. The enclosure is made of SGCC steel and is designed for installation in standard 19" rack cabinets. NDAA compliance allows deployment in environments with enhanced security requirements.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm® Kryo™ CPU featuring one Prime core running at 3.2 GHz, four Performance cores running at 2.8 GHz, and three Efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz, supported by 16 GB of RAM. This enables the recorder to support up to 100 HD cameras, 70 2K cameras, or 50 4K Ultra HD cameras. The device also supports the Viewport feature, allowing it to display up to 16 simultaneous 4K live-view streams on a connected monitor while managing more than 150 Access Hub devices.
The recorder features a total of 8 drive bays for 2.5"/3.5" HDDs or SSDs. High-bandwidth connectivity is provided by a 10G SFP+ port and a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port. The built-in 200 W AC/DC power supply is backed up by a USP-RPS DC backup power port, protecting the network infrastructure in the event of a primary power failure.

For safety reasons, it is recommended to use the included rack rails or dedicated UniFi Sliding Rack Rails. Standard rack ears can support the device itself, but the total weight increases significantly once hard drives are installed.
When installing the device in a 2-post rack that does not support rack rails, a rack shelf should be used to provide additional support from below.
