The MikroTik wAP ax LTE7 kit is a weather- and vandal-resistant (IP66) outdoor access point that combines dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with a fast LTE Cat 7 modem with carrier aggregation. MikroTik wAP ax LTE7 kit (wAPGR-5HaxD2HaxD&R11e-LTE7) is a new, improved generation of the popular outdoor access point. The device combines a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax, 2x2 MIMO) radio module with a Cat. 7 LTE cellular modem. The heart of the device is the dual-core ARM IPQ-5010 processor (800 MHz) supported by 256 MB of RAM, which, combined with the RouterOS v7 operating system, guarantees stable operation, high routing performance and trouble-free operation of encrypted VPN tunnels. Improved high-gain antennas (6 dBi for 2.4 GHz and 7 dBi for 5 GHz) ensure excellent signal coverage both inside buildings and in large areas. open.
The key improvement in this version is the use of the LTE Category 7 module (R11e-LTE7). It allows for aggregation of two bands (2xCA), which translates into download speeds of up to 300 Mb/s and twice as fast upload speeds (up to 100 Mb/s) compared to older models. The modem supports an extended list of frequencies, including the B28 (700 MHz) and B32 (1500 MHz) bands, which significantly improves connection stability and performance in heavily loaded base stations. Wired communication is provided by two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one of which supports power supply via PoE-in. Alternatively, the device can also be powered using a standard DC socket.
The device has retained its original appearance, but the housing has been reinforced and now meets IP66 tightness standards, guaranteeing complete resistance to weather conditions (including temperatures from -30°C to +70°C). The design includes vandal-resistant features. A special recess on the back of the housing makes it easier to precisely drill a hole for cables, which allows for Aesthetic, secure wall mounting with cabling completely hidden beneath the device.
