The Ubiquiti Alarm Hub Kit is an alarm control panel that allows the integration of up to 32 wired sensors with the UniFi Protect system. The device supports line parameterization in SEOL and DEOL modes.
Ubiquiti Alarm Hub Kit - PoE Alarm Controller
Ubiquiti Alarm Hub Kit (UP-AlarmHub) is an alarm controller that enables the integration of wired alarm systems and sensors (including motion, door opening, and smoke detectors) from third-party manufacturers with the UniFi Protect platform. The SGCC steel enclosure features a polycarbonate cover and is designed for indoor installation (the enclosure is an integral part of the device and cannot be used separately). The device meets security standards and complies with NDAA requirements.
The controller features 32 digital inputs for wired sensors, supporting parameterized alarm zones using appropriate End-of-Line (EOL) resistor configurations through dedicated parametric connectors. The entire system is managed through the UniFi Protect application, where users can switch between SEOL (Single End-of-Line, enabling detection of circuit tampering or interruption) and DEOL (Double End-of-Line, providing additional differentiation between short circuits and wire cuts) modes. This enables integration of alarm events with an IP surveillance system, allowing automatic recording triggers and linking alarm events with video monitoring after a specific zone is breached, as well as immediate push notifications to network administrators.
The device can be powered using PoE++ (54 V DC, 60 W) or PoE+++ (54 V DC, 90 W), while providing one PoE+ output (54 V DC, up to 30 W) for connecting a SuperLink Gateway, which can be mounted on the enclosure door. The Hub also includes a 12 V SLA backup battery that provides up to 6 hours of standby operation and up to 4 hours of active operation, protecting the system against complete power loss (the exact duration depends on the number of connected sensors and devices powered by the Alarm Hub). It also features a built-in tamper switch for detecting unauthorized enclosure opening.

Ubiquiti Alarm Hub - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Up to 32 EOLR (End of Line Resistor) supervised inputs can be connected to the Alarm Hub. These can include magnetic door opening sensors (reed switches), motion detectors, smoke detectors, and other alarm devices.
No. The Alarm Hub cannot be removed from the enclosure supplied with the kit.
Yes. The Alarm Hub features a built-in ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensor that detects when the enclosure door is opened. This provides immediate tamper notifications and adds an additional layer of system protection.
Yes. Although the Alarm Hub was designed for wired sensors, it features a PoE+ output intended to power the SuperLink Gateway, which enables connection of wireless alarm devices. The SuperLink Gateway can also be mounted on the door of the Alarm Hub Kit enclosure.
The Alarm Hub is powered using PoE++ or PoE+++ (802.3bt). When powered from a PoE++ source, the maximum combined output current available for auxiliary devices is reduced.
When PoE+++ input power is available, it powers the Alarm Hub and simultaneously charges the SLA lead-acid battery. If PoE+++ power is lost, the SLA battery automatically takes over to maintain continuous Alarm Hub operation.
The 12 V 9 Ah SLA battery provides up to 6 hours of standby operation and up to 4 hours of active operation during a mains power failure. The exact battery runtime depends on the number of sensors and devices connected to and powered directly by the Alarm Hub.
Yes. The Alarm Hub supports EOL (End of Line) resistors for monitoring the lines connecting the hub to sensors. Without an EOL resistor, the system can only detect whether the circuit is open or closed. With an EOL resistor, the Alarm Hub can immediately detect if an intruder cuts or shorts the cable.
The device supports various resistance values (1 kΩ, 2.2 kΩ, 3.3 kΩ, 3.9 kΩ, 4.7 kΩ, 5.6 kΩ), with 1 kΩ resistors already included in the Alarm Hub package.
Yes. In the Protect application, you can easily switch each of the 32 zones between SEOL and DEOL supervision modes:
- SEOL (Single): Monitors and detects cable line cuts.
- DEOL (Double): Provides the highest level of security. It uses two resistors to distinguish between a "True Alarm" (sensor activation) and "Wiring Tamper" (line shorting by an intruder) on the same line.
