TP-Link Tapo C425 KIT is a wireless IP camera designed for monitoring locations without access to mains power and LAN infrastructure. The device records 2K QHD 4MP (2560 x 1440 pixels) images using a 1/3" CMOS sensor supported by Starlight technology. This guarantees high detail and good color reproduction even in very low light conditions. A wide-angle lens with a 144° diagonal field of view (122° horizontal) allows for coverage of a large area with a single device. For operation in complete darkness, the camera uses a standard IR illuminator (850 nm) with a range of up to 15 meters and additional white light diodes (Full-Color mode).

The set's energy independence is ensured by a built-in 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is continuously charged by a dedicated photovoltaic panel Tapo A201 (with 2.5W output power). With proper exposure to sunlight, this allows for continuous, maintenance-free operation. The camera communicates with a router or access point in the 2.4 GHz band (Wi-Fi 4), and video transmission is optimized using the H.264 codec. Built-in AI algorithms analyze the image, enabling motion detection in designated zones and object filtering (distinguishing between people, vehicles, and animals). Video footage can be saved locally on a microSD card up to 512 GB (not included) or in the cloud using the Tapo Care service (paid subscription required).

The devices are adapted for outdoor installation in changing weather conditions – the camera has an IP66 ingress protection class, and the solar panel is IP65, which guarantees stable operation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 45°C. Network-layer video transmission security is ensured by WPA3 support and 128-bit AES encryption with SSL/TLS protocols. Additionally, the camera is equipped with two-way audio, a 94 dB alarm siren, and an anti-tamper alarm that immediately notifies you of any attempted removal or theft of the device.
