Ubiquiti AI Speaker (UP-AI-Speaker) is an internal network speaker designed as an active deterrent and information element in the UniFi Protect. The device is powered via PoE++ (maximum power consumption is 33W), allowing both power and communication to be delivered via a single cable to the built-in Fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mb/s).

The speaker boasts a very high volume of up to 100 dB. This ensures that announcements and alarms are clearly audible even in large, noisy, and expansive indoor spaces.

The speaker can automatically play predefined alerts when a specific event occurs, thanks to its integration with intelligent detection features offered by UniFi cameras, such as human or vehicle silhouette recognition, and system sensors. In practice, this device works perfectly as an active security element or as a powerful doorbell connected to opening sensors.

The system also offers features such as Text-to-Speech (generating speech from text on the fly) and the ability to upload your own audio files in MP3 format. This allows for full personalization of voice messages, greetings, and specific ringtones. In terms of installation, the 1.6 kg device is designed for surface mounting by default, but a more discreet flush mounting option is also available.
