Ubiquiti airMAX PowerBeam M5 400 (PBE-M5-400) is an integrated radio device operating in the 5 GHz band. It is used to establish stable, wireless bridges. The device allows connecting two distant points or buildings into a single network without laying cables, enabling real throughput exceeding 150 Mbps under optimal radio conditions.
The design integrates a radio feed with 26 dBm TX power and a 25 dBi parabolic dish, which focuses the signal beam and minimizes environmental interference. A single Gigabit Ethernet port (GbE RJ45) is used for wired communication and also provides power via 24V Passive PoE. The maximum power consumption is only 8W. Signal strength LEDs are located on the feed housing to facilitate antenna alignment based on signal levels.
The enclosure is made of UV-resistant polycarbonate. The antenna has undergone rigorous environmental resistance testing (including salt fog, thermal shock, vibration, and wind-driven rain). The kit includes a pole mounting bracket that can withstand wind speeds up to 200 km/h.
