MikroTik CLAIRÉ Lite Grey – Air Quality Sensor (Matter over Thread)

MikroTik CLAIRÉ Lite (IAQM-THC2V-G) is a grey indoor air quality sensor designed to monitor indoor environments. The device measures carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations within a range of 400–2000 ppm using a Sensirion SCD40-D-R2 sensor based on photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS). This measurement makes it easier to assess when ventilation is needed and to continuously keep track of air quality. It is particularly valuable in offices, bedrooms, conference rooms, and spaces occupied by multiple people simultaneously. Additionally, the device monitors temperature, relative humidity, and volatile organic compounds (VOC).

Measurement readouts are displayed on an integrated 2" color screen featuring automatic backlight brightness adjustment. This makes the sensor ideal as a standalone unit in homes, workshops, or offices, continuously displaying metrics and alerting users when air quality deteriorates. In addition to the grey version, this model is also available in white color. A fully equipped variant featuring all sensors (including particulate matter) is also offered in both color options – white and grey.

Beyond functioning as an autonomous monitor, the sensor uses the Matter over Thread protocol to communicate with the network. This facilitates easier integration with smart home ecosystems, such as Home Assistant, without requiring data to be sent to external clouds. The built-in Bluetooth module is used exclusively for initial device setup and commissioning. Once joined to the local network, sensor readouts can serve as automation triggers – for example, automatically activating ventilation or an air purifier when the concentration of harmful substances in the room rises.

The device consumes less than 1 W of power. Power is supplied via a USB-C port or a 2-pin 5V DC terminal block (LPS), allowing operation from a standard wall charger, power bank, or the MikroTik GPOE-USB module.

Note: No additional devices are required for standalone sensor operation. However, network integration and local automations require a compatible Matter over Thread environment or a smart home server (such as the MikroTik hAP be³ Media running Home Assistant).
